Eight String Orchestras from Columbus and surrounding communities will come together on Tuesday\, May 5\, for a joint performance led by CIP Music Director\, Isaac Selya. The concert will start with each of the individual orchestras performing something by themselves. The concert will conclude with the individual orchestras combining to form the 2026 Invitational orchestra. This group will consists of around 120 young strings musicians and will perform four pre-selected pieces all together. We hope you can join us for this incredible event!

Brubaker: What’s Up at the Symphony\nBagley/Schissel: National Emblem March\n\nClosing out the 103rd season of the CSO\, Indiana’s longest running orchestra\, is a mostly lighthearted program of music many of us enjoy in family situations. Rossini’s “Overture to The Barber of Seville” will bring happy reminders of a cartoon classic of yesteryear. So too will Liszt’s “Hungarian Rhapsody #2” and an arrangement of music of various famous movie tunes\, “What’s Up at the Symphony.” A surprise or two may pop up along the way as well. To cap off the season we hope to inspire unity in the community with the “National Emblem” march by Bagley.
