Free to Attend

Columbus Area Arts Council presents a pop-up concert featuring Emily Wells, a violinist, singer, producer and composer known for her varied use of classical and modern instrumentation. Audiences will enjoy “This World is Too _____ For You,” a new work from Emily Wells, arranged by composer Michi Wiancko and commissioned by Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music Series, that showcases voice, electronics and chamber ensemble. The performance includes a new video piece of which Wells says, “The video and the songs are mirrors of one another: human failing, desire, grace, the body, movement, muted gutting and the natural world, beating against our windows, drunk with the answer.”
